Challenge

BCG faced the daunting task of managing and interpreting vast amounts of data across multiple brands and trade channels. They needed a system that could streamline data visualization, predict market trends, and Provide a customizable interface for brand managers, all within a highly condensed timeframe.

Data driven solutions

Two Words Design undertook the challenge of delivering an AI-powered brand management tool for The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). The first step was to understand and visualize complex data and its impact on the brand across all trade channels, with the aim of reducing decision-making time from six months to four weeks.

Next, we designed a prediction engine to coordinate data and pricing forecasts across various trading channels, presenting the results on an iPad app. We then focused on creating a customizable user interface that could cater to multiple brands and allow different brand managers to use the app to predict business decisions.

Our solutions included delivering a Marvel prototype, providing on-site ground support, and creating a presentation video, all within a tight three-week timeline. Our custom charge structure engagement with BCG led to significant success with the prototype.

Impact

Our user-first approach paid off. BCG’s CXO approved the prototype, leading to a successful product launch. The AI tool was sold for over $4 million, highlighting its immense value and effectiveness. This collaboration showcased how focusing on user needs can lead to groundbreaking solutions.
